If the post was sent without error it will advise you on the date, time and queue. If there was a problem sending the post, the error post will be highlighted in red and will not provide any statistics.

UNDERSTANDING ERRORS IN THE ANALYTICS QUEUE

There are four (4) common errors that might occur when posting from smqueue to your SM Profiles.

1) NOT ENOUGH TIME BETWEEN POSTS

This can be avoided (and corrected) by adjusting some of your time slots assigned to your Main Queue or Recurring Queue.

Time Slot Intervals

When setting up your time slots, you should be aware of how close your time slots are and set them according to the social profile you are managing.

Twitter: minimum of 5 - 7 minutes apart.

Facebook: minimum of 45 minutes apart.

For LinkedIn: there are no time restrictions placed on LinkedIn profiles. Rather, LinkedIn has a post limit of 25 posts per day. If you post more than 25 posts inside a 24 hour window, LinkedIn will site you for spamming.

2) NOT ENOUGH TIME BETWEEN DUPLICATE POSTS

This error occurs when the EXACT same post is sent inside an acceptable time window.

Duplicate Posts - Time Windows

Use the following information to avoid your posts from being marked as spam.

For Twitter: you cannot add the EXACT same post inside a 3 Day window.

For Facebook: you cannot add the EXACT same post inside a 7 Day window.

For LinkedIn: you cannot add the EXACT same post inside a 7 Day window.

3) TOO MANY CHARACTERS IN POST

This error will typically be connected to a post sent to twitter where the character count is much smaller than other social media platforms.

Character counts

When composing a post, you should be aware of the following character restrictions.

Twitter: maximum of 140 characters.

Facebook: maximum of 500 characters.

LinkedIn: maximum of 500 characters.

4) ERROR CONNECTION BETWEEN SMQUEUE & SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM

Occasionally the social media feed may have a problem or the link is broken between the social media platform and smqueue.

The best way to test the connection is to use "Send Now" and if that works there is nothing wrong with the queue. If an error still occurs you will need to re-authorize that social media profile.

DELETE, RE-SHARE OR SEND AN ERROR POST TO EMAIL

Hover over the error post you'd like to delete, re-share or send to email. When you hover, the action icons will appear.

Hovering over the action icons will trigger a pop-up title which states what the action is.

On error posts, you will also see the words "error" next to these actions.

The process of deletingre-sharing and sending error posts to email is the same as sent posts in your Analytics Queue. See those topics for more information.
